Sierra Club knows the bearded vulture conservation project through the company Pura Aventura.

Members of the U.S. organization Sierra Club have visited the conservation project of the Foundation for the Conservation of the Bearded Vulture (FCQ) in the Pyrenees through a visit to the Ecomuseum of the Pyrenean Fauna/Pyrenees Bird Center, as well as the work areas of the FCQ in the necrophagous bird feeder of Ainsa and the National Park of Ordesa y Mte. Perdido National Park (PNOMP). The activity has been promoted by the organization Pura Aventura with which FCQ has been collaborating since 2004. Sierra Club has made a donation to the FCQ to support conservation initiatives, so from these lines we want to thank their contribution and spread the mission of the organization. The Sierra Club is one of the oldest, largest and most influential environmental organizations in the United States. It was founded on May 28, 1892, in San Francisco, California, by the legendary conservationist John Muir, who became its first President. Traditionally associated with the progressive movement, the club was one of the first large-scale environmental conservation organizations in the world to promote green policies. Some of the club’s recent proposals include green energy and climate change prevention, although preserving forests and mitigating pollution remain policy priorities. The organization currently has more than 3 million members. For more information: https://www.sierraclub.org/
