On 6-5-2024 the Mixed Commission of the Collaboration Agreement between the FCQ and the Government of Aragon was held.

Two coordination meetings are held annually to present the work carried out with the bearded vulture in Aragón by virtue of the Collaboration Agreement. The results and status of the rescue and captive breeding program 2024 are presented. Interventions are carried out in 10 breeding units of bearded vultures in the Aragonese Pyrenees. A total of 14 eggs are rescued, from which 10 chicks are born in the Bearded Vulture Human Isolation Breeding Center (CRIAH). The steps for the signing of a new Collaboration Agreement (which expires at the end of 2024), which will integrate the work carried out in the CRIAH, are discussed. The steps taken by the FCQ for the environmental adaptation of 10 km of ENDESA’s power line in the Natural Park of the Sierra and Canyons of Guara (PNSCG), where a bearded vulture died, are presented. The FCQ’s proposal for the creation of new quiet climbing areas in the PNSCG is commented. Three new FCQ projects related to ecotourism, forest bioeconomy and research in the Aragonese Pyrenees are presented: Bio-For-Piri Project, Poctefa Dusal and pathogens research project in the Ordesa y Mte. Perdido National Park. It is shown that between March and April 2024 the two bearded vulture decoys located in the Moncayo in the area of the Mesa river (Zaragoza) have been relocated. It is exposed what happened during the breeding season of 2023-2024 of the pair of lammergeyers located in the Zoological Park of the Eco Museum of Ainsa, which made a clutch of an infertile egg. Finally, the Government of Aragon wants to organize a meeting on bearded vulture feeders in 2024.
