Program of actions for the conservation of the Bearded Vulture in the Pyrenean and Cantabrian Mountains and the Iberian system 2021. The Foundation for the Conservation of the Bearded Vulture (FCQ) is a private non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), declared of public utility, registered in the Registry of Foundations of the Ministry of Culture and Sport (70/AGR), constituted in 1995, which is dedicated to promoting and developing projects of environmental monitoring, scientific research, environmental defense, rural development, land custody, ecotourism, environmental education and awareness in the mountain habitats where the bearded vulture lives.
The main objectives of the FCQ are to ensure the recovery of the bearded vulture and its natural habitats within the territories of current and historical distribution, as well as to promote attitudes of respect for the values linked to the conservation of biodiversity.
Among the main projects developed by the FCQ are the actions of the de-development and execution of the Bearded Vulture Recovery Plan in Aragon (Decree 45/2003), through a Collaboration Agreement with the Government of Aragon (Order PRE/544/2017) and the actions for the recovery of the species in the Cantabrian Mountain Range and Iberian System.
