The Foundation for the Conservation of the Bearded Vulture (FCQ) is a private, non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), declared of public utility, registered in the Registry of Foundations of the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM) (nº 500001) and constituted in 1995, which is dedicated to promoting and developing monitoring, research, conservation, management, rural development, ecotourism, environmental education and awareness projects in the mountain habitats where the bearded vulture lives.
The main objectives of the FCQ are to ensure the recovery of the bearded vulture and its natural habitats within the territories of current and historical distribution, as well as to promote attitudes of respect for the values linked to the conservation of biodiversity.
One of the main projects developed by the FCQ are the actions for the development and execution of the Bearded Vulture Recovery Plan in Aragon and the LIFE+Bearded Vulture Network project, whose 2018 results are presented below.
