Among the birds, through the Sierra de Partara.

49 Board of Trustees of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park with the participation of environmental organizations (Benasque, 18-11-2024).

The status and execution of investments and subsidies for 2024 are presented: support for extensive livestock farming (10,000€), improvement of the Cinqueta riverbank track (48,000€), new toilets in Els Plans (25,000€), improvement of livestock shelters with the installation of solar panels (6500€), maintenance of the weather station at Aneto (3000€, accessible to the public see: https://iot.arantec.com/app/dashboards/public/dashboard/EfabJYe9MIktC9Qzxm6fHjpyqceeYfYRMJSDEWR4y0E?datePicker=true&embed=true, purchase of meters for people and vehicles (7000€), implementation of the San Juan de Plan pasture management plan (17.000), signposting and placement of signs in the Park (6000€), carrying out an inventory of butterflies (8000€), surveillance and various maintenance actions by SARGA crews in the Park (1 million euros). A self-protection plan for the park is being developed (risks and resources) and satisfaction surveys have been conducted on visitors to the park (the most frequent complaints are the lack of parking spaces). As for the non-productive aids of the European program for farmers and ranchers for 2024, due to delays in their publication, they will be extended. Likewise, the Park’s budget for 2025 (which will be similar to the current one), is awaiting the approval of the Aragonese budget in the Aragonese Parliament. For 2025 it is intended to repair the Coronas and Santa Ana refuge and to study the possibility of putting toilets in the areas of Llauset and Eriste, as well as to build a parking lot in Forcallo-Gistaín and for 2025 in Turpi (Benasque). During 2025 the Use and Management Plan (PRUG) will have to be revised, for which the General Directorate of Natural Environment is preparing a draft. The environmental groups (FCQ and Ecologistas en Acción) ask and request the following: will a study of mobility in the park be undertaken, will the carrying capacity of the park be studied, and have the Basic Plans of the Natura 2000 Network been developed for integration into the park? The answer is that both studies will be carried out and that it is mandatory to integrate the Natura 2000 Network Plans into the future PRUG. We propose holding research conferences, as is already being done in other parks (Guara and Ordesa). The Town Councils also ask if a new person in charge of public use of the Park is going to be hired (it is intended to be selected in January 2025) and if the 30th anniversary of the Park is going to be celebrated (the President and Mayor of Benasque commits to do so). The Deputy Mayor of Benasque asked for more investment and the representative of the association and businessmen asked for more promotion of the Park. Finally, they are studying the implementation of renewable energies in shelters (solar panels, geothermal energy and mini hydroelectric turbines).
